Collection: Prodigy

The Prodigy – Mixmag Sessions, Belfast 2005

This limited edition collection features portraits of The Prodigy, shot for Mixmag’s January 2006 cover story. Captured in a makeshift studio at the Radisson Hotel in Belfast, the shoot marked the band being named “Band of the Year.”

I’ve loved The Prodigy since seeing them live at a rave in Nottingham back in 1991—aged just 17. The energy they brought to the stage during Charly stayed with me, so photographing them over a decade later was a full-circle moment.

Art Director Gavin Green wanted something iconic and stripped back—monochrome styling, clean lighting. Rosanna Maldonado styled the band beautifully, with Keith Flint’s white jacket in his solo shot being a standout. The group portrait, shot with a crisp white backdrop, became the cover. For the solo shots, I switched it up with a strong backlight and soft fill—these became my personal favourites, later featured inside the mag.

Now available as signed, numbered prints in a limited edition of 50 per image.

A rare, intimate look at one of the most explosive acts of their era.
