Collection: Rob Thomas - Matchbox 20

Rob Thomas – Matchbox Twenty, NYC 2000

Photographed outside the legendary Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, these portraits of Rob Thomas, the voice and songwriter behind Matchbox Twenty, were originally taken for NME Magazine in 2000. One image appeared in print at the time, while the other remained unpublished — now seen for the very first time.

At the turn of the millennium, Thomas was at a defining point in his career: leading Matchbox Twenty through huge international success with songs like Push, 3AM, and Bent, and fresh from the global phenomenon of Smooth with Santana. Captured on Fuji NPS 160 medium format film with a Pentax 6x7, these portraits balance raw New York edge with quiet reflection — the kind of honesty only film can deliver.

Each print is produced directly from the original negative, signed and numbered by Antonio Petronzio, and limited to a run of 50. Every print includes a certificate of authentication.
